Store Manager (Malibu)

POSITION: STORE MANAGER (MALIBU LOCATION)
REPORTS TO: STORE DIRECTOR/C.O.O/BUYERS

THIS POSITION IS DESIGNED FOR SOMEONE WHO IS GOAL ORIENTED, ENJOYS FASHION AND STYLING, KNOWS OUR DESIGNERS, AND HAS KNOWLEDGE OF FABRICS, AND FITS.  

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive Sales and meet goals by successfully managing the store
  • Recruit, hire, and train sales stylists to maintain the strongest team possible
  • Ensure all employees develop and maintain strong customer relationships (clientele) and grow the customer base
  • Motivate sales stylists; give individual sales goals, store goals, and keep them updated on the progress of both
  • Continuously adapt selling approach to ensure customer retention in a constantly changing retail environment
  • Product Knowledge
  • Make sure all sales stylists develop a deep knowledge and enthusiasm for the store designers and collections
  • Floor Upkeep
  • Keep the store freshly stocked and filled in with the help of the sales staff
  • Ensure mannequins are updated and changed
  • Initiate transfers from other stores as needed or as instructed by the buyer
  • Initiate and execute floor moves and merchandise placement
  • Maintain cleanliness on the floor at all times and ensure safety for our customers and employees
  • Loss Prevention
  • Enforce bag check policy with employees
  • Actively watch customers and merchandise to prevent theft
  • Open and close the store
  • Schedule employees to ensure proper coverage on the sales floor at all times
  • Cash drawer and deposits responsibility
  • Have a complete understanding of how to use the POS for all types of transactions and ensure sales staff does as well
  • Customer Management
  • Address and resolve customer issues or complaints
  • Conflict Resolution
  • Act as the “eyes and ears” of the store; resolve employee issues without bias and involve HR when necessary
  • Provide written documentation of employees issues

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Extensive experience in luxury apparel retail
  • Positive approach to change and can-do attitude
  • Able to cultivate, motivate and lead a team by setting an excellent example
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Be able to stand for long periods of time (up to four hours)
  • Be able to bend over, reach below the waist and above the head
  • Be able to go up and down stairs
  • Push and pull clothing racks weighing up to 30lbs
  • Lift items weighing up to 15lbs
