Director of E-Commerce (Melrose)

POSITION:  Director of Ecommerce
REPORTS TO: Buyers/CEO

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the overall online experience of ronherman.com and site profitability

  • Increase sales and meet goals by successfully managing the ecomm store
  • Manage and monitor site overhead, ensure investments and expenditures yield expected returns
  • Coordinate with buyers, graphic designer, social media and marketing to ensure content creation is consistent across all channels, work with buyers to ensure content meets brand standards and aligns with their aesthetic
  • Coordinate and schedule photoshoots with buyers, photographer and models, ensure new product is added consistently and timely
  • Ensure front-end updates are completed consistently including homepage graphics, merchandising updates, promotional emails, etc. maintain landing pages, product banners, about us, etc.
  • Merchandise the site and maintain all categories (mens, womens, designers, new arrivals, etc), organize new items to be at the top, keep pages looking fresh, organized, etc.
  • Review site metrics, make adjustments and recommendations to optimize new opportunities and grow web sales while maintaining functionality
  • Partner with Buyers and Private Label manager to ensure the best product assortment to engage current customers and grow brand awareness
  • Provide weekly sales reports and key data points to Buyers and management team
  • Work with CIO to ensure site is compliant (ADA, consumer data, etc) and integrations with heartland are seemless
  • Ensure orders and returns are consistently processed and customer inquiries and issues are addressed and resolved in a consistent, timely manner
  • Monitor all channels for errors, alerts, questions and inquiries and resolve with sense of urgency
  • Coordinate and Manage Paid Digital Marketing Spend & Partnerships
  • Support other ecommerce initiatives as assigned

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2-4 years in ecommerce management, preferably in apparel
  • Knowledge of liquid, HTML, CSS and Javascript
  • Understanding google analytics
  • 2 years of shopify experience
  • Team player, ability to collaborate and work effectively in a group
  • Professional experience in a project management, analytical or marketing role
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills
  • Basic technical knowledge of HTML and web publishing
  • Experience administering Shopify sites (preferred)
  • Understanding of basic SEO / SEM (preferred)
  • Flexibility as needs change with business strategies

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Be able to sit and stand for long periods of time (up to four hours)
  • Be able to bend over, reach below the waist and above the head
  • Be able to go up and down stairs
  • Push and pull clothing racks weighing up to 30lbs/lift items weighing up to 15lbs
