Architecture De Los Angeles 1880-1940
Architecture De Los Angeles 1880-1940 Photographs by Denis Freppel. Born in the Paris suburb of Suresnes in 1938, Denis Freppel is a photojournalist and globetrotter whose travels have taken him through the United States, South-East Asia and Europe. After living in California, he set out to photograph the distinctive architecture of its buildings. He has since spent nearly 30 years exploring the length and breadth of the city of Los Angeles, photographing industrial buildings, public buildings and private homes dating from the 1880s to the 1940s. The fruits of his labors are published in this sumptuously illustrated volume - complete with appendices providing technical details of the buildings pictured - that every architecture buff will want to own.
